How can a well functioning group for collaborative learning in an educational context be formed? When forming the groups, these factors should be taken into consideration: who forms the group (best for the teachers to form it rather than student-selected), sort of group (informal, formal, base, homogenous, heterogenous), group size (ideal size is 4-6 students), ways of forming the group (alphabetical, draw numbers, according to topics).
